1 sysadmin. 500 systems. How?

Thanks to sysadmins, us users can browse the web and send/receive emails without a hassle. They make sure systems and services are up and running. But, as we know, computers go bad from time to time.

To maintain a level of service to the users, sysadmins has various tools in their belt. Among these tools, monitoring tools allow them to monitor systems and services. In some cases, monitoring tools can give sysadmins first signs of trouble, allowing the issue to be dealt with before it becomes a real issue.
Nagios is one of these monitoring tools.

What can version control do for you?
  • It provides a place to store your source code.
  • It provides a historical record of what you have done over time.
  • It can provide a way for developers to work on separate tasks in parallel, merging their efforts later.
  • It can provide a way for developers to work together without getting in each others' way.
